IT. La polenta quotidiana è uno spettacolo in parole e musica che racconta le donne di un tempo, un tempo coraggioso. L’amore, il lavoro, fuori e dentro casa, la maternità, antichi usi e costumi sono ripercorsi in un moderno filò costruito come dialogo tra la voce narrante e il suono de ‘na volta. Canti, ninne nanne, ballate popolari si alternano a fole, proverbi, poesie in dialetto, ma anche a testi in italiano di Dino Coltro, Ulderico Bernardi, Luigi Meneghello, Monforte Chiarello, Aldo Busi. Le melodie e i testi della tradizione popolare si mescolano invece alle canzoni di De Andrè e Bertelli, sensibili interpreti della poesia del passato. Al centro, donne coraggiose, custodi giornaliere del fuoco, sorveglianti della casa, amministratrici sapienti. A far da filo conduttore, perché il pane si vedeva una o due volte l’anno, proprio la polenta, consumata mattina, mezzogiorno e sera. La polenta quotidiana è uno spettacolo che celebra la mare de casa, ma anche la bellezza e il valore della memoria passando attraverso la riscoperta delle nostre radici, perché la tradizione “non è culto delle ceneri, ma custodia del fuoco”.

EN. 'La polenta quotidiana' is a show in words and music that tells the women of the past, a courageous time. Love, work, outside and inside the home, motherhood, ancient customs and traditions are traced in a modern way as a dialogue between the narrative voice and the sound of the time. Songs, lullabies, popular ballads alternate with fole, proverbs, poems in dialect, but also with Italian texts by Dino Coltro, Ulderico Bernardi, Luigi Meneghello, Monforte Chiarello, Aldo Busi. The melodies and texts of the popular tradition are mixed instead with the songs of De Andrè and Bertelli, sensitive interpreters of the poetry of the past. At the center, courageous women, daily fire keepers, house overseers, wise administrators. To act as a thread, because the bread could be seen once or twice a year, just the polenta, consumed morning, noon and evening. ‘La Polenta Quotidiana' is a show that celebrates the mothers, but also the beauty and the value of memory passing through the rediscovery of our roots, because the tradition "is not the cult of the ashes, but the keeping of the fire".
